I am using MS XP and I have been using a HP 2550 Laser for years. Problem is the Toolbox does not see the USB connected printer. Toolbox opens but does not show any printer.
What I've done so far.
Reinstalled toolbox via the original disc
Checked the print function which works fine from Notepad or any Application I choose.
Checked various need items using a HP troubleshooting document and in this document I pass all things except one.
Where you go to CMD get the DOS window and type in netstat -na. it has something to do with a file being established or not established. One of them is 5225 and one is 5226 If I remember correctly 5225 does not establish but 5226 does.
The document does not tell how to fix this or that it is even the problem.
I have also changed to several driver, from memory PC6, PC5c, and PC3. Does not help.
I don't remembet the versions of Toolbox but at lease 2.0 and Tomcat is 4.0 but let me add that my system has always worked.

I need this box so I can troubleshoot the print quality issues as I don't think they can be fixed without Toolbox.
