Hello, here is my problem.
This morning we were unable to print. I think we sent too many files to the printer while it was calibrating.
Tried powering on/off. Can't connect or ping the printer.
I tried conncecting my Vista 32 bit PC to the printer directly (no hub/switch) to the printer with a confirmed good network cable. Can't connect or ping the printer.
Then, I tried conncecting my Windows 7 32 bit PC to the printer directly (no hub/switch) to the printer with a confirmed good network cable. Can't connect or ping the printer.
Tried cold reset two times. Still no connection. The event log shows each cold reset threw event code 32.1C.2F (Reset Failure). I don't think it ever cleared the memory. The manual says to "try again" if you get this code.
I am willing to try reinstalling the firmware but would like a link to the files and specific directions. Once I get the files on a thumb drive do I connect the drive with a female/female USB adapter?
The printer is out of warranty by a few days. I don't really feel like calling support because they will end up asking me to ship it back to them.
