I have a problem when we print documents (mainly Word 2010 SP2 documents). We have sometimes, randomly bad / strange / errorneous characters printed (see the attachment, the original Word document appears correctly).
We use network HP printers (differents models: 3015, 2055DN, M602...) shared through a print server (Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with a lot of hotfixes). The client is Windows 7 SP1 with hotfixes and Windows XP SP3 with hotfixes.
We already tried this:
- use the UPD PCL6 /PCL5 (the last version 5.7.0)
- change the print server to Windows 2003 R2
- update the printer firmware.
- disable advanced settings in the driver
- install Office on the Print Server (in order to have the same fonts versions in the client and the server)
- substitute the font in the driver (replace the Time New Roman with another one)
We have the same issue!
Note that we don't have the issue with Toshiba MFP shared through the same print server.
Moreover the issue "seems" to be mainly localized in tables (in Word documents)
I don't have more ideas and it's a very big problem for us!
Thanks for your help!
