A customer has a P3015 with tray 3 and duplex. The printer is printing very slowly from tray 3 and takes the paper back in to pass through the duplexer even for non duplex jobs. When the printer goes wrong, jobs sent to Tray 2 (plain A4) print from Tray 3 (Letterhead) and get passed through the duplexer. All jobs print very slowly or get delayed. There are 3 users printing to it, 2 on XP and one on Windows 7 64 bit. The XP machines never seem to be able to print to the correct trays if I connect them directly to the printer, no matter how I configure the driver. The only way I can get them to work is by sharing the printer on the Windows 7 PC and connecting to that.
I followed advice on here and upgraded to the latest firmware and also reconfigured the paper handling via the web interface. Tray 3 is used for letterhead, if I change this tray from "Letterhead" to "bond" the fault dissappears for a few hours or so before returning.
Has anyone got any further ideas? Thanks, Marcus
