Hi:
I have a problem with one of our computers that I use exclusivly to run a 16 bit version of AutoCAD LT.
It is running WIndows XP and the version of AutoCAD LT runs fine, however I wanted to add our HP LaserJet Pro 400MFP/M425dn printer.
After loading the XP drivers for this printer I am unable to open the AutoCAD program.
I get the error message: The Win 16 subsystem may be unstable.
Even thou XP is 32 bit it still runs the 16 bit version of AutoCAD LT... up to the point of adding the HP drivers.
I unistalled the HP drivers and AutoCAD LT opens and works fine.
My question is: Are there alternative drivers that would run the printer that would not affect the operation of the AutoCAD LT program?
Since AutoCAD LT is a hobby at this point I really do not want to spend $ 1,200.00 for AutoCAD LT 2015 which will run on my Windows 8.1 desktop and laptop.
Please let me know if anyone has a suggestion.
