Per HevnLgh; Asked me to post this in the commercial forum.
I've scoured the internet to find a solution to my problem and I can't find an answer for it.
Error 79 came into our printer last week and has not recovered since.
Here are the solutions that I have tried or attempted to have tried:
- Soft Reset - Powering it down and back up
- Hard Reset - Unplugging the power cord for 60 seconds or more and plugging it back in
- Doing the above AND have the network cable unplugging while doing it
- Attemped to update the firmware; Can not. The printer loops into a ready state back into the 79 error. When you try to connect up using a usb cable to update it, windows can't detect the printer during it's loop into the 79 error.
Any ideas?
