We've been upgrading a whole section of PCs to Windows 7 (x64) from XP.
Part of the process has been to point users to the new Print server (2008r2)
We're using Universal Print drivers, and are fine with all other devices i.e Ricoh / Konica / Cannon
With the HP printers we're having problems. A couple of problems - users are printing, and the print jobs disappear. Another issue is Randomly users getting random characters or extra pages being printed.
At the moment we're installing different versions of the UPD, the problem goes away for a while then comes back, but it is usually fairly random
We never had these problems with XP and printer specific drivers on the 2003 print server, I wondered if this rung a bell with anyone.
